Academics - Bachelor in Engineering and Sustainable Technology: Built Environment

At the end of your broad first year in which you worked in an interdisciplinary project together with your fellow students from other disciplines, you have chosen to specialize in Built Environment. In Built Environment you will learn a lot about building techniques, materials and the influence of the climate on structures, but you will also learn how you can ensure that rainwater is drained quickly and properly to avoid inconvenience for the traffic on our roads. You’ll acquire knowledge about sustainable building, planning, calculating and realize a construction. You will spend a lot of time drawing, not only on the computer, but also by doing good old-fashioned pencil sketches.
