The University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC) introduces Faculty of Engineering’s BEST program:

Bachelor in Engineering & Sustainable Technology!

The BEST program is designed to educate students to become sustainability minded, innovative, entrepreneurial, research-skilled, people-oriented, and internationally minded engineers, who have extensive knowledge and skills in one of the following disciplines, and also general knowledge in the other disciplines:

  • BEST: Built Environment
  • BEST: Electrical Engineering
  • BEST: Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
  • BEST: Mechanical Engineering
  • BEST: Technology Management

  • Advantages of the BEST program:

    Advantages of the BEST program:

    • New! No more Math Summer course! All Mathematic topics relevant to a student’s specialization are included in the curriculum, based on an entry-level test.
    • New! “Profiel Natuur & Techniek” with a sufficient score for Mathematics B is no longer an admittance requirement for havo or vwo graduates. Only requirement is Mathematics A or B as examination subject.
    • New! “hbo-doorstroom” certificate for sbo level 4 graduates is no longer an admittance requirement. Only requirement is a sbo level 4 diploma in a technology related program.
    • Attractive career prospective because of the broad basis and organizations’ current need for technical professionals.
    • Project based education, meaning that we offer a well-balanced mix of theory and practice, focusing on applying knowledge to real-world challenges.
    • Regular guest lectures, keeping knowledge up to date and based on actual practice.
    • Our state-of-the-art technical labs allow you to discover, test and create with the newest machinery and software, like CNC routers, drones, renewable energy systems, and 3D printers.
