Enrollment at the UoC

Enrollment for prospective students (Freshmen) is possible until August 31, 2020. For your convenience, enrollment at the UoC is now completely online. Please take into account that some programs may start as early as the first week of August and that you need to be officially enrolled in order to start a program. Therefore we strongly advise you to complete your enrollment as early as possible. Applications received after August 31st will need a written approval from the faculty prior to enrolling for a program.

Please note that the online enrollment procedure consists of a few steps. As you go through these steps, we provide you with additional information in order to facilitate the process and ensure a smooth enrollment. Just click on each of the steps.

The Student Charter: rights and obligations of students

As a prospective student of the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez, it is important for you to know your rights and obligations as a student, as laid down in the Student Charter (Studentenstatuut) of the UoC. Prior to starting with your online enrollment, we highly recommend you to carefully go through this information. (Note: The Student Charter is in Dutch.)

The online enrollment process

When am I officially enrolled at the UoC?

Your enrollment process is complete when you have filled out both the enrollment form and the financial settlement form, and have uploaded all the required documents.

You are officially accepted at the UoC when you receive an e-mail containing your declaration of enrollment and other important additional information, like for example the use of the digital platforms of the UoC.

Any questions? Please feel free to contact Student Affairs by mail at studentaffairs@uoc.cw or by phone at 744-2144.

Step 1 Entry requirements

Please check if you meet the entry requirements for our study programs, including the proper prior education. Do you have a diploma from Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Sint Eustatius or Saba? Do you have a diploma obtained outside the Kingdom of the Netherlands? Then please contact our International Office via internationaloffice@uoc.cw.

Some of our study programs have additional requirements besides the general entry prerequisites. These extra conditions vary depending on the study program of your choice. Please click on your degree program for more information.

Step 2 Check if you have all documents to be uploaded

When filling out your digital enrollment form, you will have to upload a few documents. These documents can be in PDF or JPEG format. You may take a picture of the document with your mobile phone and upload it, provided that these uploads are clear and readable.

  • A valid ID (local ID or passport, no driver’s license).
  • Diploma or certified copy of your diploma.
  • Grade list or certified copy of your grade list.
  • 1 recent passport size photo.
  • If applicable: additional entry requirements depending on your study program.

PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL DOCUMENTS ARE READABLE, IN DETAIL! Non-readable documents will NOT be accepted.

Step 4 Financial Settlement

Before you proceed, please read the Student Charter 2020-2021 to know more about our procedures for paying your tuition.

This is also applicable to students in Curaçao who have a bank other than MCB, RBC or BdC.

For a proper administration we strongly recommend all students who will have to set up their own standing order to put as starting date September 30th, 2020 and as final date June 30th, 2021. PG students abroad or local, but with a bank other than MCB, RBC or BdC, should put as final date November 30th, 2021.
