Erasmus+ opens the eye to Europe

The University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC) first applied for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in 2014. All higher education institutions need an ECHE to participate in the Erasmus+ programme. Starting 2016, the first students of the Teacher Training Program went to Belgium on exchange with Erasmus+.  This year the UoC applied again and was granted the Erasmus Charter which is valid for the period of 2021 until 2027.

The Erasmus+ program makes it possible for students of the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez to spend a semester at a European partner institution for a study exchange or an international internship.

"An Erasmus+ experience makes a positive contribution to the development of the students of UoC. The growth of the students after six months of study or internship abroad is very visible when they return full of stories and new experiences. A whole new world has opened up for them. Our students often focus on the Netherlands, but Erasmus+ really opens up a broader view to Europe for our students."
