Financial Settlement Information

Before you proceed, we strongly advise you to read the Student Charter 2024-2025 to know more about our financial procedures. This document also indicates all prices the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC) applies to all its educational services.

Please note: you will receive an e-mail with a link to the financial settlement form. Be sure to check your e-mail daily/frequently (including your junk e-mail or spam folder). By filling out the financial settlement form, you will not automatically be enrolled. Your documents will be verified by Student Affairs and our Finance Department prior to enrollment. 

Payment methods regular students

At the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez bachelor or master students can choose from three (3) standard payment methods to make their payment. The prices for both bachelor and master programs are shown below and are applicable to local as well as regional students.

  1. Payment in full
    Students who choose to pay in full, will have to do so upon registration. The prices are:
  • ANG 5.100,00 (USD 2,865.00) a year for a bachelor’s degree;
  • ANG 7.100,00 (USD 3.989.00) a year for a master’s degree;
     
  1. Payment in two (2) installmentsThis payment method requires a down payment of the first half including the minimum down payment right upon registration and the second half no later than February 28, 2024. However, we will also ask for a proof of “payment order” for the second payment upon registration. A so called “payment order” can be made via online banking exactly as your first payment was made, with as only difference the execution date. Alternatively, you can do this at your local bank with the execution date no later than February 28. The payments are as follows:
  • first payment right upon registration of
    • ANG 2.850,00 ($1,601.13) for a bachelor’s degree or
    • ANG 3.850,00 ($2,162.93) for a master’s degree
  • second payment no later than February 28 of
    • ANG 2.250,00 ($1,264.04) for a bachelor’s degree or
    • ANG 3.250,00 ($1,825.84) for a master’s degree.
  1. Payment in ten (10) monthly installments
    • With a down payment of ANG 600,00 ($337.08) and ten monthly installments of
      • ANG 450,00 ($252.81) for bachelor’s degree or
      • ANG 650,00 ($365,17) for a master’s degree.
    • With a down payment of ANG 1.600,00 ($898.88) and ten monthly installments of
      • ANG 350,00 ($196.63) for a bachelor’s degree or
      • ANG 550,00 ($308.99) for a master’s degree.

If you choose to pay your monthly tuition fee with a MCB, BdC or RBC account, your completed financial settlement form (FAF) will be processed as your standing order. By completing your FAF, you authorize us to debit your account each month as per September 30 up to June 30.

If you choose to pay your monthly tuition with a bank account from another local bank (other than those mentioned above) or from a bank outside Curaçao, you will have to make your own standing order via online banking or at your local bank. This is a requirement when filling out the financial settlement form. Be sure to make a clear and fully visible copy of every document.

For a proper administration, we strongly advise all students who have to make a standing order, to set September 30, 2024 as starting date and June 30, 2025 as end date.

Required documents for completing the financial settlement form

The documents needed when filling out the form in all situations are:

  • a copy of your valid ID card (sedula) or passport;
  • proof of (down or full) payment;
  • additional information needed depending on your chosen payment method or situation are: a valid bank account number (when paying in installments at MCB, RBC or BdC);
  • a valid ID card or passport of paying person (only in case someone other than the student will be paying the monthly installments with their MCB, RBC or BdC bank account);
  • only if applicable: a standing order made by yourself via online or at your local bank. In case this is set up at the bank, this should be stamped and signed by the bank;
  • when paying in two installments, you will also need a proof of your second payment order no with a payment date no later than February 28, 2024;
  • a proof of family membership, in case you are eligible for a family member discount. This may be a wedding book, a family book or an extract from the municipal register (read our Student Charter 2024-2025 for more details).
     

Please make sure all documents are fully visible.

Bank information & payment instructions

In order for us to allocate all incoming payments correctly, we strongly advise you to follow the next payment instructions:

  • put only the student’s name and ID number as description for your payment as upcoming student;
  • students who were already enrolled in previous academic years should put their Progress ID first, followed by their name as description;
  • local students with a bank account that is NOT from MCB, RBC or BdC should make their payments to our local MCB account number 881.341.08 as a local transfer;
  • if you have a bank account in Aruba, Bonaire or Sint Maarten, please make your payment to our bank account in your country;
  • if you are paying from another country e.g. Surinam, please make your payment to our local MCB account 881.341.08 with a BIC/SWIFT code MCBKCWCU. Be sure to make your payment with the ANG or USD currency and to include the transaction fee in the amount to be paid in order for us to receive the full amount. Financial Settlement Information

Family member discount

Students who have an elder direct family member e.g. a sibling, a parent or a married couple studying at the University of Curaçao in the same academic year, are eligible for a monthly discount of ANG 100,00 for each month both of them are enrolled in the current academic year. Please bear in mind that the elder one in the family will have to pay the normal tuition fee (without any discount). For a proper administration and monthly payment, we strongly recommend all family members to be enrolled and the proof of family membership to be uploaded in the financial settlement form or sent to our Finance Department before August 31, 2024. Please read our Student Charter 2024-2025 for more information on what is required to
apply for this discount or contact us at finance@uoc.cw.

Other educational programs

UoC also provides other educational programs such as a Pre-Academic Program, Pre-Law, an Auditor program, Certificate programs, Exchange programs or other courses such as Pedagogical Certificate (PG).

For these programs (with the exception of PG and Pre-Law) all payments should be made upfront upon registration and are nonrefundable. Please contact our Finance Department at finance@uoc.cw for an invoice and further instruction on your registration.

Pre-Academic Program
There is a pre-academic program for students who have not yet made a choice which study program to follow. The price for this program is ANG 1.500,00 per academic year.


Auditor program
UoC offers a program where you can audit classes during a whole academic year without making any exams or other assignments. The prices for these programs are:

    • ANG 1.792,50 a year for a bachelor’s program or
    • ANG 2.322,50 a year for a master’s program.

 

Certificate program
Certificate students are required to pay an enrollment fee of ANG 600,00, in addition to ANG 132,50 for each ECTS credit. The faculty will compile a list of all courses necessary to obtain a specific certificate, and the total amount due will be determined based on this list of courses.

Shortened Pre-master Tax Law program
This program is specifically designed for prospective students who do not meet the prerequisites for admission to the Master's program in Tax Law. The tuition fee for this program is ANG 2,800.00 or USD 1,573.03, and it must be paid in full upon registration.

Exchange program
UoC offers an exchange program that allows foreign students to complete their minor program for a semester. For more details about this program, please contact us via e-mail at internationaloffice@uoc.cw. Please note that a technology fee of ANG 100,00 is applicable for participation in this program.

Pre-law
The Pre-Law is a program especially made for our prospect students in Sint Maarten who do not have the right curriculum to enter the Bachelor in Law program. The price for this program is ANG 3.200,00 which can be paid in full as well as in installments. For more information, please contact the Finance Department at finance@uoc.cw.

Pedagogical Certificate
This program lasts 18 months and should be completed within two academic years. New students may choose out of the following payment options:

  • payment in full ANG 5.930,00 ($3,331.47);
  • payment in 14 monthly installments with a down payment of ANG 680,00 ($382.09) and monthly installments of ANG 375,00 ($210.67).
     

Note: these prices are also applicable for our students in Bonaire.

 

New PG students should fill out a financial settlement form. This form will be sent to you via e-mail. Please check your inbox and spam frequently after completing your registration form. The financial settlement form will automatically be your standing order when paying in installments with a local (Curaçao) bank account of MCB, BdC or RBC. By filling out this form, you will authorize us to debit your account on a monthly basis for 14 months.

If you choose to pay your monthly tuition with a bank account from another local bank (other than those mentioned above) or from a bank outside Curaçao, you will have to make your own standing order via online banking or at your local bank. This is a requirement when filling out the financial settlement form. Be sure to make a clear and fully visible copy of every document.
