One of the most spoken languages worldwide, Spanish is also a vital when it comes to our local and regional economy: because of its location, Curacao plays a key role in tourism and trading and Spanish is an important language to know for this reason. The study program exists of a language specific component and a profession specific component. For students to achieve the end qualifications that will ensure that they perform in the work field the language program is specifically designed with four components namely: language skills, language acquisition, didactics and knowledge of literature and culture.

The subjects that are connected to the language skills will all be taught in the target language. Next to the subjects that are specifically target language based, there are also transcending subjects, such as a course named Caribistiek. The program offers you all possibilities to explore in the target language but also in the profession itself.
